BASIC INGREDIENTS FOR NATURAL CLEANING PRODUCTS

When we hear the word ‘chemical’, probably the first thing that comes to mind is the words toxic, deadly, poisonous, and unhealthy. So why do we use chemical-based Cleaning products when we can create them on our own using inexpensive, readily available and easy to prepare natural cleaners?

While we cannot do anything more with the effects chemicals have done for years already, you can start from your home and make a difference in, well, first, with your family.

When we probably think that checking labels in the supermarket about the ingredients and other information about the product is already enough, we can expand our options and create our own from our home. It is important that you know how valuable this is on a global scale, that we can help save or at least minimize the effects of chemicals in cleaning compared to natural items. When we have this mindset, it is easier to take out our old habits and try something new. Well, actually, the concept of natural cleaning products is not new anymore - they have been around for quite some time. Before the Second World War, people around the world have always relied to coconuts as their base for cleaners a very simple and natural source. Due to the economic and political impacts of the war, the business economy and industrialists have shifted to the use of crude and oil-based products, including household cleaners. While they may have become effective, and also because of the aid of marketing efforts, they have been a regular staple in households who have forgotten to switch back to natural.

When you have these items listed below, you can try to switch back to natural cleaning products using items which we even eat therefore these items, which are safe when working with our digestive system, can also prove to be gentle with our household items.

The basic ingredients are:

Vegetable oil, vinegar, washing soda, baking soda, borax, cornstarch, lemon juice, vegetable-oil based soap, mineral oil and olive oil.

More than half of toxic chemical based cleaners available in stores can be prepared at home using natural ingredients. Consider this in your household expenses and it is very easy to recognize that you can indeed save a lot in your weekly budget by opting to use alternative, natural cleaners that are as effective and safer even.

I cannot emphasize more on the benefits of switching back to natural cleaning products. While it is easy to note that chemical based cleaners may be effective, what is also equally important to know are the effects this has in our environment. While it may not be too late, we can act on it already by using natural based products.

These basic ingredients works well as a substitute for chemical based cleaning products. You can find recipes on the internet on how to use them. Recipes are usually a combination of two or three items listed above.

You can clean almost every major area in your home and even your furniture and household items using recipes that are easy, and fun to use.
